MONITORING OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF DAMPONG MARKET

The Management of the Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly conducted a site monitoring exercise at the Dampong Market to assess the progress of ongoing construction work. The visit, led by key Assembly officials, was part of a broader effort to strengthen the supervision of government projects and ensure accountability in the use of public resources. The monitoring team inspected various sections of the market and engaged with contractors and local traders to discuss the project's progress and expected benefits. The Municipal Chief Executive – Hon. Alexander Frimpong highlighted that the new market is a strategic project designed to boost local commerce, provide a more conducive trading environment, and enhance revenue mobilization for the Assembly. He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the people. Community members and traders expressed their appreciation for the monitoring exercise, noting that it reflects the Assembly’s dedication to transparency and development. The Assembly assured residents that it will continue to prioritize projects that improve livelihoods and foster socio-economic growth throughout the municipality.
