Green Ghana Day, a day earmarked for the planting of trees as part of Government's commitment to afforestation and reducing carbon emissions was held across the nation on 9th June, 2023. The Asante Akim South agency of the Forestry Commission in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly commemorated the day with the planting of several tree and the distribution of seedlings for planting across the municipality.
