The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly distributed a wide range of commercial tools and startup capital to local Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to drive economic self-sufficiency. Under the direct supervision of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the assembly handed over asset packages including deep freezers, sewing machines, and hairdryers based on the trade skills of the recipients. The Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly has successfully celebrated the 41st National Farmers’ Day under the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future”. Led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the durbar honored several local farmers for their outstanding contributions to food security and the rural economy. The Overall Municipal Best Farmer took home a motorized tricycle alongside critical farming equipment, as the Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture and enhancing grassroots extension services.

The Asante Akim South Municipal office of the Youth Employment Authority (YEA) has inaugurated its first batch of Community Medical First Responders (CMFR) in November 2025. Attended by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, and the Municipal YEA Director, the event highlighted the government's dual focus on youth job creation and rural health optimization. The newly deployed youth will provide essential, timely first-aid and emergency trauma stabilization within various communities to strengthen frontline healthcare delivery across the municipality.
